About Me

I'm Grace, currently reading History of Art and English Literature at Edinburgh University and last year I completed my Art Foundation at Arts University Bournemouth where my chosen pathway was Illustration. At school I also took Textiles and Design Technology, so it's not always been just fine art that I like. However, in recent years my interest has turned towards drawing, painting and screen printing. 

For one reason or another I have always had an obsession with churches and ruins. Whether it's drawing them, painting, photographing or just experiencing them, I'm there. There's something about them; a sense of the past, a spiritual, ethereal quality that permeates the building and has me hooked every time.

Turning from practising art to Art History has been an interesting experience, and one which I don't regret, however I do hope that my practical skills get a bit of use every once in a while and hopefully when they do I can share some of it on this blog.
